Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- To execute, coordinate and support the activities related to the overhaul, revamp, up-rate, troubleshooting and studies related to rotating equipment in all plants within the company.
- To resolve recurring chronic problems which require in depth investigation and liaise with original equipment manufacturers (if required) to ensure effective solutions.
- Identification of BAD actors and their resolution.
- Leading RCA for technical issues and resolving them.
- To provide technical advice on the rotating equipment to various operating, engineering, projects and training departments/divisions.
- Monitoring of Machinery over System-1, review of condition monitoring and lube oil report.
- To review spares inventory for rotating equipment ensuring that optimum levels are maintained and to order replacement as per 5-year business plan.
- To support planning engineer with preparation of long term Maintenance of rotating equipment, effective history and record keeping of the rotating equipment and to utilize such records to plan proper replacement of aged parts.
- To prepare OPEX and CAPEX budget estimate.
- To develop scope of work for repair/overhaul of rotating machinery, technical evaluation of the bids, execution and closure of the contract.
- To develop long term service agreements with main equipment suppliers and established non-OEM service providers for utilization of specialist services and refurbishment of capital insurance spares.
- To ensure that the quality of repairs and overhauls by various manufacturers and non-OEM service providers are in line with the agreed standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years experience in Refineries, Petrochemical, fertilizer etc .
- Extensive working and troubleshooting experience on large rotating equipment like Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Reciprocating Compressors, Gas Turbines, Pumps, Dry and Wet Seals and Sealing system.
- Knowledge of Machinery protection, API standards, and Condition Monitoring.
