The RoleThe RoleNalco have an opening for a Senior Engineer (CPE 1) in Dubai. The Senior Engineer will be accountable for adequate handling & completion of all Equipment Projects coordinated & executed in the Gulf region. The CPE 1 will be actively involved in project handling and execution himself, while acting as a Senior CPE. Ultimately in case of sufficient equipment project activities and internal engineering resources this senior engineer is supposed to become the Engineering Manager for the Gulf area. Other Responsibilities include: • Improves overall EAME operations by increasing CPE performance, driving standardization of Project Execution, promoting cost reduction and (indirect) equipment margins. • Ensures profitability of EAME Projects using Calculation Sheets and through effective cost & time management. • Coordinates project related activities through Equipment Project Support, Service Technicians and 3rd party DBI partners (Design, Build & Install). • Ensures CPE’s and Sales Reps are working closely together during Equipment Project Executions from discovery phase to commissioning. • Supervises, coordinates and/or executes Scope, Estimate, Quote (SEQ) related activities for Equipment projects in the EAME region. • Supervises regional generation of proper scoping & proposal documentation (Scope of Works, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Technical Sheets and Maintenance Protocol). • Develop Engineering projects in EAME, ensuring all Equipment projects are completed to a high quality standard. • Explores and implements the use of new (Nalco approved) methodologies and technologies. • Assists in equipment selection processes to maximize efficiency for Nalco Customers. • Participation in trials and start-ups of new equipment technologies on site. • Assists in Selection processes around new DBI (Design, Build, Install) Contractors. • Provides and coordinates general training and assistance to Engineers, Project Support and Sales Staff. • Ensures compliance with all Nalco Health, Safety and Environmental Policies. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe minimum qualifications the ideal candidate will have include: 3–5 years + related industry experience. University Degree in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Excellent communication in both English and Arabic. Proven experience in water treatment related large projects. |
