Senior English Copywriter

Job description / Role

The Copywriter oversees the artistic copy of advertisements and print materials, as well as the filming of television commercials. He/She is not only responsible for the verbal or written "word" of a campaign but is also part of a creative team responsible for developing the very concept.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

- Write clear, persuasive, original copy.
- Work from a brief with team members to generate famous and effective copy and ideas.
- Meet with the account management team to discuss the Client's requirements.
- Gain an understanding of Clients products and services, the target audience and competitors activities.
- Meet with the Creative Director before presenting ideas to Clients.
- Liaise with production companies, photographers, typographers, designers and printers.
- Collaborate and contribute during new business pitches.
- Review and approve copy.
- Manage own projects in coordination with team members from the creative or other departments, working within budget and scheduling requirements.
- Work with Creative Director to develop famously effective solutions.
- Conceptualize and help design interfaces for multimedia solutions.
- Proofread copy to check spelling and grammar.
- Amend, revise or redevelop campaigns in response to feedback from the team members or Client.
- Oversee campaigns through the production stage to completion.

Requirements

- Must be fluent in English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work under pressure and keep deadlines.
- Organized and responsible.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to proof read own material.
- Local experience preferable.
- Experience in advertising is a must.
- A portfolio link is a must.
- Opening for full-time or freelancers.
