Senior Enterprise Architect

Job description / Role

- Formulate strategies and oversee the induction of new technology/systems in the data domain.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an IT Strategy in support of the organizational goals, objectives and strategic business requirements.
- Define principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise data domain.
- Provide consultancy and support to business units in identifying and implementing systems and external services to meet business needs
- Suggest possible solutions to new business requirements by way of internal development and vendor supplied product.
- Provide technical consultancy to the IT staff in technology best practices, problem analysis in applications/systems/networks
- Conduct Quality reviews of Projects / Systems / Networks to verify adherence to standards, SLA, banks overall architecture (application, data, integration, platform and security)
- Identify appropriate methodologies and best practices and create standards, guidelines.
- Maintaining documentation on high level IT architecture view of all bank wide systems and their integration
- Conduct Architecture/Quality reviews of Projects & Change Requests to verify adherence to data standards.

- Take initiative in anticipating & identifying problems in architecture/systems in general, use sound judgment and creativity in providing directions to resolve them
- Research and evaluate emerging trends in data domain to be used or deployed within the bank
- Effective governance of data flows and data lifecycle management (in rest and on wire)
- Produce and maintain enterprise data domain standards
- Provide consultancy to project teams in translating business needs into data architecture requirements
- Improve data quality by eliminating duplicate, redundant and dirty data

Requirements

- 10 years experience in the applications development and SDLC
- 5-7 years experience as a Data / Enterprise Architect in an Architecture Office
- TOGAF / ITIL / PMP Certified
- Good knowledge of technologies: Relational databases, Networks, EAI, OO methodology
- Experience in designing& implementing large and complex databases for Microsoft and Oracle database platforms
- Experience in designing& implementing applications using JEE/.Net platforms would be a PLUS
