I&O is part of Enterprise IT (EIT) responsible for IT Infrastructure & Operations. I&O remit covers Data Centers Operations, Servers & Storage, Networks (Voice and Data), Workplace Systems & Services, Service Delivery (including Service Desk) and Security. The end to end services provided to the group companies include consulting, design, deployment and support of the above for a range of business applications which includes ERP, Messaging and Retail Solutions etc.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Enterprise Systems Analyst who will report directly to Head - Technical Operations, Infrastructure & Operations.

Responsibilities for the role will include:

- Contribute to the overall success of our enterprise by supporting SAP and Unix Infrastructure.
- Provide level 3 support and speedy resolution for problems escalated by service desk, support engineers, business users, Basis support team & system administrators.
- To install, configure and support enterprise mission critical Unix infrastructure and applications.
- Resolves and leads co-ordination with Systems Vendor for quick resolution of Severity 1 situation for production down situation.
- Troubleshoot and provide solution in a timely manner for complex multi-vendor system issues in hardware, operating system and infrastructure & Systems Management applications, demanding 24x7 availability.
- Create operational procedures for and perform disaster recovery for entire system in different situations.
- Provide support for project implementation.
- Keep abreast of contemporary systems technologies and tools, evaluate and recommend for incorporating into Group network.
- Perform proactive and reactive maintenance outside of business hours, following the companys change management and operational procedures.
- Architecting and implementing highly available server and storage solutions across several locations for infrastructure and application services.

Requirements

- Masters or Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
- 12 + years of experience in IBM Technologies, Unix Server & Storage Designing, Implementation and Support.
- Good working knowledge in PowerVM, IBM AIX, IBM XIV, IBM V7000, TSM, Systems Director and TPC solution in addition to that having experience in Virtualization Technologies, Wintel Servers, SAN / NAS, Systems Security Software, Systems Management Tools.
- Must have worked with systems and tools from Enterprise vendors such as HP, IBM, NetApp, Microsoft, & Symantec.
- Expert Level Knowledge in at least 3 of the systems and technologies - IBM AIX, POWERHA Systems Mirror, TSM and SAP Infrastructure.
- Must have full lifecycle experience including gathering requirements, designing, testing, implementation and support.
- Should have strong problem-solving, decision making and quick thinking skills.
- Highly motivated and strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- IBM certification is a MUST.
- ITIL v3 certification is desirable.
- UAE Driving License will be an added advantage.
- Must be able to work occasional weekends and after office hours.
