Senior Environmental Consultant

Job description / Role

The environmental team undertakes a number of consulting services primarily Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) work and environmental audit / due diligence work. We are supported by PBUK to provide specialist services such as air quality or noise monitoring. Clients include real estate developers, power generation companies, transportation authorities and contractors.

The role of the Senior Environmental Consultant will be to contribute to the growth of the environment team by assisting with the delivery of high quality environmental studies and audit work projects within tight timeframes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide effective support in Environmental Assessment discipline
• Produce and contribute to environmental proposals within tight timeframes
• Produce high quality environmental reports
• Develop client and third party liaison skills as well as technical skills as either project manager or technical specialist;
• Prepare and manage effectively project budgets and programmes
• Manage and execute projects on time and to budget
• Assist with the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) with the production of various documentation
• Ensure client satisfaction on projects
• Provide support to the Regional Environment Manager
• Provide environmental support to other market sectors in the Middle East
• Represent the company at external events
• Carry out reasonable instructions, given by managers/supervisors

Requirements

Degree level qualification in environmental science or environmental engineering. Masters degree in appropriate discipline a significant advantage. Membership of professional institution desirable. Minimum 8-10 years’ experience of working within a similar environment. Must have experience of working on projects within the UAE or other Middle East regions.
