The RoleThe RoleSenior Estimator – Civil Engineering – Australia – $250K ++ Our Client is one of the leading Main Contractors in Australia operating within the Civil Engineering, Construction, Mining, Process, Rail, Marine and Tunnelling sectors. Key Responsibilities Include: Play a key role in the development of accurate estimates for multi-million dollar projects, using first principles Assist the operations team in the analysis and recommendation of construction methods and selection of suitable subcontractors Identify, detail and cost specific risks and opportunities associated with projects and the tender submissions Support the development of process improvement across the estimating function. |
RequirementsRequirementsKey Skills / Qualifications: 7+ years experience in first principles estimating, particularly in civil infrastructure projects Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying Considerable experience within a Construction Contractor environment, preferably with Tier 1 contractor experience Demonstrated ability to plan and execute accurate multi-disciplinary tender submissions Major project experience ($50 mil ++) Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills with the ability to present to peers and senior management Ability to plan, budget for and manage the bid preparation process Accurate & analytical reporting skills This is a fantastic opportunity to join genuine market leader working on some of the most exciting civil engineering projects in Australia.
