Senior Estimator & Cost Controller

Job description / Role

Ensure that all definition, monitoring and reporting of the project schedule are executed in accordance with our clients corporate requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Assess prospect scope and main components to develop consistent estimates for each concept under consideration.
- Development of detailed project cost estimates inclusive of the Incorporation of project complexity factors, and with key input data such as project objectives, scope and economic analysis.
- Translate the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs for design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and start-up of the hardware elements.
- Perform uncertainty analysis and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks.
- Manage reviews and audits of cost estimates. Formulate and validate methodologies for deriving quantities from design parameters.
- Manage cost engineering activities including development and implementation of cost controls. Register and evaluate technical change orders for cost impact
- Maintain cost data input to an integrated project cost and schedule system.
- Report periodic status of all project costs and cash flows for cost and production trends, EVM, forecast at completion FAC analysis, cost variance analysis for progress reports.

Requirements

Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree -Technical or Business Certification.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the field.

Skills/Competencies:
- High levels of persistence, curiosity and enthusiasm.
- Setting up Estimate, code of accounts processes and reporting.
- Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
