Job description / Role
Our client is one of the largest and revered construction contractors operating in the Middle East. They have several high profile projects across the Gulf and are even now expanding their presence, utilising their reputation and experience in quality flagship projects to make an impact in the region.
They presently have need for an experienced Senior Estimator, to be based in Kuwait City to join the tendering department in for Kuwait, focussing on mega projects and high rise.
Your duties will include:
• Collating, reporting and interrogating projects costs,
• Submitting tenders,
• Effectively managing the resources of projects lifecycle,
• Monitoring of commercial support to the project managers and the project delivery team,
• Managing and reducing unnecessary costs and inefficiencies.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 15 years experience and will be degree qualified. It is essential that you have experience with large construction contracting companies, and have spent substantial time in Kuwait.
Prerequisites for the position include:
• Experience working in Kuwait, and other GCC countries for respected contractors
• Must be commercially astute and familiar with local contracts
• Ideally degree qualified or chartered Quantity Surveyor
• A minimum of 15 years experience
• High rise experience (tendering)
