Job description / Role
TGP is looking for an energetic, confident and independent individual to join our Events Team. The Event Executives role will have a dual focus. 40% of the role will be related to the development of the event proposal and 60% of the role will be operational and involve the execution of the event.
The Events Executive will report directly to the Events Manager and will ensure that all TGP events are delivered to a high quality of a nature appropriate to the brand, on time and within budget.
Once the event proposal has been developed, the coordinator will need to translate the concept into specific actions. Excellent planning, organizational and project management skills are, therefore, key.
The ideal candidate should also be able to propose and implement sound marketing & business development initiatives to further develop the diverse revenue streams of the division.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree in Business / Marketing / Sales or Communication.
- Versatile individual who is adept in both event design and implementation
- Outstanding customer service attitude
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent project management and problem solving skills
- Proven hands-on, problem-solving record to successfully address unforeseen situations during project execution.
- Excellent Excel, Power Point and project management software knowledge (e.g. Smart sheet)
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Minimum of 3-5 years UAE experience handling large scale events.
- Candidates with additional international event management experience as well as knowledge of sponsorship relations will be preferred.
- PMP accreditation will be also highly valued.
