Senior Field Engineer

Job description / Role

Working in the UAE, my client specializes in Offshore EPC projects for Middle Eastern customers. Due to recent project expansions, they are now looking to recruit 3 experienced Senior Field Engineers to support ongoing offshore installations.

The rotational schedule is likely to be 2m/1m, so you must be prepared to spend extended time offshore. This is not a Project based role onshore.

SUMMARY:

Following up the mobilization of the project materials, barge consumables and equipment listed in the mobilization plan. Ensure mobilization of miscellaneous items. Liaison and coordinate as necessary with logistic coordinators on all logistic supports.
Responsible to ensure availability of contract documents, project specifications, qualifications, approved drawings and procedures including Quality & HSE requirements to offshore site. Further, responsible to review these documents and familiarize himself, ensuring Company obligations have been met to Client.
Ensure that all required project materials, as approved in line with specifications are made available as per planned schedule.
Ensure that required barge equipments & consumables are made available.
Provide on day to day basis technical back-up by way of procedures, calculations, drawings, sketches, to complete task as per requirements and ensure that engineering documents are required from base are made available.
Monitors and controls all technical tests as per requirements; maintaining records of work completed & issue of regularly project progress reports.
Observes & records the job progress and to keep constant track of the consumption of materials and reports problematic areas.
Issues the daily progress report (D.P.R) detailing the progress of work on daily basis.
Prepares and issues the daily Field Engineer Report (F.E.R) and distribute as necessary, summarizing the activities carried out during the day. F.E.R to include additional project material required for the job over and above the initial supply and to keep track of the requirement on daily basis.
Upon job completion, responsible for preparation of all the As-built Sketches / Drawings and to obtain Completion Certificates duly signed by the Client Representative onboard the Barge and forward same to Project Manager to establish the final documentation for submission to Company

Requirements

1. Minimum 10 years of Field/Installations experience for Offshore projects
2. Experience working on offshore pipelay, platform, riser and jacket installation projects
3. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within multi-national teams
4. Technical qualifications desirable but not essential
5. Prior work experience in the Middle East is preferred
