Senior Financial Accountant - Qatar
Exciting career opportunity for Senior Financial Accountant to be based in Qatar working for a leading Oil & Gas company in Doha.
Based in Qatar, Senior Financial Accountant, you will manage preparation of timely, fit for purpose and accurate monthly / quarterly/ annual statutory financial results on a consolidated and standalone basis in accordance with IFRS reporting requirements. As a Senior Financial Accountant you will liaise with other group entities to analyse and understand their respective statutory financial statements to ensure seamless integration and the group level. Also, you will analyse and interpret financial information to aid awareness and understanding of activities and issues; able to provide insight and pragmatic accounting solutions. In addition, you will manage and coordinate the structure and taxation affairs of the Group.
Requirements
- Recognised Professional Accounting qualification preferably ACA / ACCA
- 5 to 10 years post qualification experience gained with reputable industry employers with proven exposure to the preparation of statutory financial statements (prior experience with BIG 4 accounting firms proffered).
- Experience / Knowledge of IFRS standards and their practical application
- Proven analytical and communication skills
- Experience in ensuring strong business and finance controls
- Knowledge and experience of SAP
- Ability and willingness to move to Qatar.
