Senior Financial Analyst (Actuarial)

Job description / Role

The Senior Financial Analyst has one primary objective:
To accumulate and analyze the financial data of the company, providing accurate evaluations and reports that support in financial investment decision-making, business modeling and projections of the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of long term product pricing models, testing and implementing agreed pricing on new and existing products, and reviewing competitiveness within the market on a regular basis.
- Develop, implement and manage an agreed investment performance reporting framework and provide regular and adhoc reports to the business as required.
- Through data analysis, identify potential areas of investment vulnerability and risk; works with key stakeholder to develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of issues.
- Perform fact verification, study, research and investment performance analysis on proposed investment vehicles and manage the end to end onboarding process of funds, working alongside compliance.
- Perform detailed investment analysis on proposed and existing funds
- Develop and provide detailed analyses to support investment decisions, with forecasts of return on current and proposed options.
- Support in product development providing data, pricing models and technical product information for product specifications/terms & conditions.
- Assist the Chief Actuary and the CFO in business modelling, providing variance reporting between actual and projected results.
- Provide general analysis of finance reports and management information obtained from various departments in order to spot trends and opportunities.
- Keep abreast of latest trends and techniques in the field of financial and actuarial analysis, suggesting with reason, potential areas of improvement.
- Support with internal and external audits providing accurate and relevant information where required, for efficient and timely completion.
- Compile data for annual reports, budgets and cash flow reports, assessing operational performance.
- Develop and implement a pensions benefit valuation framework and provide regular valuations for 3rd parties.
- And any other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelors degree required, masters desirable
- CFA level 2 or 3, or (partial) actuarial qualification
- 5 yrs experience in the financial services industry, with 3 year in a similar role

Skills & Experience
- Fluent in English, Arabic desired
- Accuracy and detail orientated
- Ability to solve real business problems

Additional Notes:
- This position must liaise closely with the finance department.
