Job description / Role
To monitor financial performance of the Bank against various financial and non-financial parameters and provide feedback to business/management
Principal Accountabilities:
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of funds and operating expenses
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
- Scrutinize competitors performance, benchmarking the Bank to the peer group
- Apply Funds transfer pricing on the banks assets and liabilities in line with approved policy
- Adhoc tasks could include engaging with external parties such as auditors and management consultants
- Assist the Head of Finance and CFO by preparing monthly management packs and board presentations consisting of key performance indicators and segment profitability
- Daily tracking reports for various products, segments, non-performing loans etc
- Business commentary - Detailed analysis report highlighting the performance of the business group with highlights
- Forecasts - Rolling quarterly forecasts at business group/product level and elaborate the variances with the budgets
- Budget - Assist in preparation of annual budget at business group/product level
Requirements
Minimum Education Level:
Bachelor, CA preferred
Professional Qualification:
MBA/CA Inter/CPA/ICWAI, must be a proficient user of Excel/Access/business intelligence tools
Experience:
Minimum two to three years experience in a financial institution or bank
