Employment: Full Time

One of the worlds largest independent fund administration companies based in the DIFC, Dubai are looking for a senior fund account manager.

The successful applicants for this position will be responsible for overseeing and growing a team of Private Equity Fund Accountants and will be involved in the NAV calculations, cash reconciliation and investor reporting and compliance of Private Equity Funds. Be familiar with such strategies as Venture, Debt Fund/ Mezzanine, Secondarys, CoInvestments, Infrastructure and Real Estate funds (development and income generating). The individual will maintain client relationships and take responsibility for co-ordination of regulatory reporting, audit preparation, marketing for new business along with the take on and due diligence requirements of the company.

The Role

To ensure timely and accurate NAV calculation and review on a timely basis along with any other client specific reporting requirements.
Ongoing development of the business by liaising with the senior management and ensuring full communication from bottom up and implementation of new processes and controls as required
Ongoing Implementation and refinement of SSAE 16 controls
Ensuring client enquiries are answered in accordance with Apex service standards on an ongoing basis
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the funds specifications
Detailed review of NAV calculations for PE, Real estate and Shariah Funds, Preparation of unaudited quarterly financial statements and annual financial statements for audit.
Supervision and training and recruitment of accounting staff

Requirements

4+ years experience in a similar role incorporating the above functions
Financial Statement Preparation and Public Accounting experience.
Candidates would ideally be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA etc.) with preferably at least two years post qualification experience in fund administration, and/or asset management. Knowledge of ILPA, IFRS, US UK GAAP, IPEV, Shariah standards.
An ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills (Arabic speaking an advantage)
Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Macros in Excel (Experience on Paxus and E-Front an advantage)
