The Role


The Role


A Senior HR Manager is required to provide delivery of a first class HR service to the Southern Gulf businesses which employ in excess of 850 employees, based over a number of locations. Reporting to the HR Director you will be responsible for an HR team of approximately 15 people.

The role will cover all aspects of HR including employee relations, resource planning, talent management and employee engagement. The role is full time and based in Dubai with a requirement to travel to locations around the UAE and Oman.

Responsibilities

- Advising and supporting the Southern Gulf management boards
- Working proactively with Head of Departments to support the business plans
- Coaching and supporting managers with all people change initiatives
- Supporting Middle East and corporate HR initiatives
- Providing HR advice to the business and to the HR team
- Developing and coaching the HR team
- Managing the relationship between the business and the Core Administration Service and Centres of Expertise (.g. development and training, recruitment and selection)

Requirements

The successful applicant will be an experienced HR professional capable of contributing at both strategic and operational level and acting as a member of business unit boards. You will have approximately 10 years HR experience, including 5 at senior management level. You will be degree educated and professionally qualified (i.e. Chartered MCIPD/FCIPD or equivalent). In addition you will:

- Be an experienced manager who is capable of operating at a strategic level be capable of quickly gaining credibility with business colleagues, demonstrating sound judgement and robust decision making.
- Be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, building deep, trusting relationships whilst maintaining a high degree of integrity.
- Possess strong influencing and communications skills, political awareness and a high level of emotional intelligence
- Be confident, commercially minded, adept at problem-solving with a track record in resolving challenging people related issues possess sound project management, planning, organisational and delegation skills.
- Be able to demonstrate advanced skills in employee engagement, negotiation, customer focus and development of relationship networks.
- Have a thorough understanding and experience of managing risk in an HR/business context coupled with an intercultural understanding and an ability to manage cultural differences and actively promote diversity.
