Select Auto is a part of Al Futtaim Automotive Group. This company will cater to the regional requirements of Nato Forces and their Prime Contractors for supply of heavy equipment, vehicles and their maintenance services. Select will be the single point of contact for customers of this profile and will operate as an internal customer for the other automotive group companies

Job Purpose:

The role is responsible for the lead, design, development, implementation and maintenance of a full corporate Health, Safety and Environment management system, specific to all areas of the Select Auto Business. Responsible for the strategic evaluation of HSE risks in new business opportunities and the development and implementation of HSE systems and programs that will allow Select Auto to operate on a worldwide platform. Manage HSE Operations in all Operational Locations.

Job Context:

* Overall responsibility for all Business HSE project requirements, developing and implementing the Health, Safety and Environmental management system to meet with the requirements of OHSAS 18001 2007 and ISO 14001
* Lead in the implementation of the Business HSE Strategy.
* Manage best practice ethos and development / maintain a Business wide HSE action plan to corporate legal compliance is met.
* Manage a professional Health, Safety and environmental team in the development of the Group HSE Policies
* Oversee the HSE training and career plan for all HSE Staff, manage and coach the HSE team on operations
* Oversee the development of Business HSE Training Material and help develop the Business HSE training strategy, assessing, organising and implementing of company standardised and contractually required HSE trainings for all personnel.
* Manage the development of HSE documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards, including corrective and preventative measures.
* In Conjunction with Project Managers, construct an annual training plan for ground based staff on Select Auto projects and, where applicable, for Dubai based personnel.
* Overall responsibility for the compilation of project KPIs and safety statistics for all Select Auto operations and report to relevant Dubai based personnel.
* Lead Investigations into the root cause of HSE complaints report the result to the GM Support, GM

Requirements

An expert on global HSE regulations and best in class industry practices, particularly for Oil & Gas. The position holder will serve as an advisor to senior management, mentor to HSE operations personnel and be accountable for HSE performance improvement and efficiency. They will have expertise in Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) disciplines and be highly experienced in optimising the design, development and integration of HSE in all market sectors within which Select Auto / AFIS operates, with particular focus on the oil and gas service sector.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

* NEBOSH Level 3 General Certificate or member of a recognized Industry body (IOSH, IEMA, IRCA etc.)

Minimum Experience:

* 15 - 20 years experience in Oil & Gas Industry and 10 years supervisory/management experience.

* Qualified trainer in HSE training packages
* Knowledge of ISO 14001/18001
* Experience in Industry best practices
* Strategic thinking, leadership and planning skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to interact at client and Senior Management level
* Excellent verbal and written English skills
