Job description / Role
Our client is a well-known large organisation based in Dubai with a long established background in manufacturing field.
This is an opportunity for a highly skilled Head of Finance to focus mainly on the assessment of large scale international projects which will require the full attention of a diligent and experienced leader.
The strategic analytic nature of the candidate along with a vast experience in financial project planning background will assist in providing on time reporting directly to the Managing Director and Chairman. As part the role it will be required to complete detailed feasibility reports as well analysis of the viability of each report with sound financial advice and recommendations to move forward or reject.
As the lead of the project financials the candidate will work to raise the financial funds for current and new projects, planning and managing the entire cycle of the projects financials to deliver solid results.
The candidate’s relationship development both internally and externally will be extremely important as communication is necessary at all levels and most importantly experience with high level negotiations for joint ventures, facilities, company take overs and more will be required.
Once any project is signed off the candidate will be required to implement the internal controls, reporting and standards and ensure that the financial objectives of the project are met in accordance with the shareholders aims and financial standards.
Having previously managed large scale international construction projects and be comfortable with the large scale planning required to meet their demands. Developing organisational structure of the department including the ERP control, managing and motivating people whilst properly delegating responsibility with the goal to achieve the deadlines required within the budget you established minimizing risk to the company will be the successful candidates overall objective.
Requirements
Responsible for the following:
• Raising finance for projects
• Feasibility studies
• Negotiations of joint ventures
• Evaluating partnerships and reviewing contracts
• Study the ROI and provide recommendation
• Evaluating a portfolio of ventures
• Manage projects, budgets and staff
• Design and implement cost accounting systems
• Management of project budgets
• Establish controls and systems in accordance with financial standards
• Monitor and minimize Risk
• Strategic Planning
• Negotiations and conflict management
Requirements
• Chartered Accountant and Master’s Degree in Business Management / Financial Management
• 10 Years’ Experience in Finance with experience in large scale projects for Acquisition and Mergers
• Ideally from Construction or manufacturing backgrounds
• Ideally PMP certified
• Effective communication skills
