Job description / Role
We are seeking a Sr. Health & Safety Advisor to be based in Qatar. You would be required to strategize and implement the Health & Safety Management System, carry out Inspection & training and action plans in accordance with Internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- To conduct incident investigations and recommend necessary actions
- To compile Health & Safety Monthly Reports
- To conduct site safety inspections and tours
- To conduct audits against the H&S Management system
- Undertake Fire Risk Assessments & First Aid Risk Assessments
- Stop unsafe work if there is a perceived risk of serious injury or death to persons
- Isolate unsafe equipment if there is a perceived risk of serious injury or death to persons
- Communicate best practices internally within the company
- Set tasks for the Health & Safety Officers
- Review performance of the Health & Safety Officers
- Reporting of Incidents and KPIs on the Lafarge online database
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Health & Safety field
- Level 5 Qualification in Health & Safety (Degree or Diploma)
- Member of a Professional Organization in Health & Safety
- Certified Trainer
- Certified Lead Auditor
- Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment
