Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Day to day support to Director and staff with regards to employee relations issues and by providing advice, guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
• Communicates and implements new policy changes as required.
• Supports the Director with respect to manpower planning and monitoring, data gathering and compilation, report generation and updates.
• Participates in the recruitment process of full time, adjuncts and temporary staff by updating job descriptions, raising requisitions, sourcing candidates, handling interview logistics and ensuring that reference checks, security paperwork and all other new hire documentation is obtained.
• Demonstrates a commitment to the Emiratization program and professional development initiatives for UAE National employees.
• Serves as the main point of contact for staff with regard to initial recruitment processes and coordinates with the respective Human Resources Officers on the new hire onboarding process, their relocation and the new hire orientation program.
• Administers the process for probation completions, contract renewals, acting appointments, transfers, resignations and terminations and administers end of service benefits and other exit processes for departing employees.
• Provides support to the respective Director on staff performance appraisals.
• Maintains and update staff records of performance appraisal, training and development profile to ensure the availability of information as and when needed.
• Coordinates with the Human Resources Officer with regard to employee relations issues of the staff as and when required.
• Works closely with central HR management providing them with feedback, comments, observations and suggestion with regard to HR environment in order to identify areas for improvement.
• Contributes to system-wide HR special projects as and when required
• Participates in extra-curricular activities and community events as and when required.
• Keeps abreast of developments in the field that adds value to the overall HR environment by engaging in professional development activities, interaction with peers/ counterparts.
• Travels to attend meetings, workshops and conferences as required.
• Develops an awareness of and respect for the customs and cultures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director and HR Manager.

Requirements

• A minimum 3 years progressive HR related work experience with demonstrated competence in HR services such as; Employee Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management and Training.
• Computer literacy; knowledge of a HR system would be an asset
• Current knowledge of industry practices, UAE Law, trends and issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization to deliver results
• Highly developed organizational skills are required;
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
• Ability to deal with sensitive issues and staff matters with high level of confidentiality
• The ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment
• Continuous skills improvement and professional development in order to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
