Senior IT Analyst - Information Security

Job description / Role

A key client of ours, based in the UAE, is actively looking for an experienced IT Analyst with knowledge of IT Audit and Security processes to join a growing team as part of a major programme of work.

The main responsibility for the Senior IT Analyst will be to ensure that IT control processes are adhered to - specifically within the application and infrastructure domains.

This will involve planning, performing and managing IT Audits including the implementation of any recommendations.

The successful Senior IT Analyst will also will also be required to report on IT Risks for the bank, including reviewing system security, defining risk indicators, and managing critical problems.

The role will be also responsible for managing the change release process in accordance with IT security protocols, to minimize negative impact of releases

Requirements

Due to the nature of the position, candidates will require an understanding of security risks and requirements involved in banking. Equally, experience of similar audit processes and vulnerability assessments is expected.

From a technical perspective, candidates should have an appreciation of high level technical architecture and design, and ideally working knowledge of network protocols and encryption techniques would be preferred.

An overall understanding of IT Risk within financial services and particularly banking practices is expected for experienced candidates at this level.

Candidates should hold a degree within a relevant field, and will ideally hold relevant industry certifications or qualifications.
