Senior IT Business Partner

Job description / Role

A large and growing bank in Dubai are currently looking to add an experienced IT Business Partner to their team in order to help strengthen the relationships between IT and the Business and ensure long term strategy alignment.

The main purpose of the IT Business Partnership team is to help prioritise business workloads and project delivery, whilst managing senior relationships to update them on the status of business objectives and drive innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities:
- Manage key relationships between technology and the business
- Ensure strategy alignment between IT and the business
- Monitor progress on business initiatives
- Obtain stakeholder commitment for effective project delivery
- Understand and manage business expectations, whilst supporting IT and the business on major incidents

Requirements

Candidates will need deep knowledge of the IT project and program lifecycle and will ideally have previously delivered major portfolios of work previously.

A strong technical background and a general understanding of IT functions and systems would be very advantageous given the nature of the role, as this person will be responsible for acting as an ambassador for IT within the business.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to manage senior, and potentially difficult, stakeholder relationships is key to the role. Candidates should have demonstratable experience of managing these relationships previously.

Prior experience of working within large, corporate environments (ideally banking) is also required.
