Senior Information Management Specialist - $20bn Expressway - Leading Consultancy - Qatar

A huge $20bn expressway project is underway in Doha, and our client - a leading International Consultancy - is seeking an Information Management professional to join the team.

This role is to support the Information Manager and manage the team delivering collaboration and business intelligence services to the programme.

The applicant will be responsible for directing the design, build and maintenance of collaboration systems and the development of dashboarding / reporting capability. The core platform for project information management is SharePoint (currently MOSS 2007 soon to migrate to 2013) with Nintex workflow and SSRS reporting platform. This is a business role with key interfaces to corporate IT/IS services.

This is not a developer / coding role. The applicant must be able to work within the companys governance framework to deliver solutions using standard functionality where possible.

The applicant will act as the Deputy Information Manager and be responsible for managing the team in the absence of the Information Manager.

- Managing a small team of SharePoint support staff
- Identifying processes where value could be added, gathering business requirements, analyzing business processes and, where practical, identifying technically driven solutions.
- Designing and building SharePoint solutions using standard out-of-the-box 2007 / 2013 functionality. This is not a development environment and .NET skills are not necessary.
- Development and support of complex Nintex workflows
- Development of ETL data packages, SQL Server databases and SSRS reports for deployment using SharePoint.
- Technical management of the Bentley ProjectWise environment
- First line support to internal and external users
- Development and maintenance of a small number of MS Access databases

Requirements

- B.Sc in an engineering / technical subject, Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of 8 years post graduate experience in a business facing role (10 years without Masters degree)
- Project Management qualification (PMI, APM or similar) and a working knowledge of the business functions typically found on a construction project.
- Strong Document Management background
- Large scale Microsoft SharePoint deployments (MOSS 2007 & SharePoint 2013), including SharePoint designer and Nintex Workflow
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) (2005 / 2012)
- Experience of working with a variety of Project Collaboration portals and Electronic Document Management Systems (Bentley ProjectWise would be desirable)
- Excellent Microsoft Office 2010 Skills, especially in Access and Excel
