Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A dynamic and challenging role, the Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer will primarily be responsible for the following:
- Design and design review of Infrastructure projects including Roads, Highways, Freeways, Traffic, Pedestrian Ramps, Bike Paths, Utilities, Drainage, Storm Water System, Water Supply System, etc.
- Leading the Infrastructure design project teams to develop design solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner whilst complying with the requirements of stakeholders.
- Attending the project related meetings/workshops and presentations before the client/developer/government agencies as and when required.
- Guide the subordinates from concept thru detailed design, issue for tender, issue for construction drawings stages of the projects.
- Facilitate the effectual integration of various Engineering elements into unified design for client's and statutory authorities' review and approvals.
- Respond to RFI (Requests for Information) from the contractors at construction tender stage
- Examine and approve/disapprove the submittals of contractor taking into consideration the agreed specifications.
- Assist the senior management to respond to RFP (Requests for Proposal) from the Clients.
- Preparation of detailed list of project deliverables and requirement of resources at consultancy proposal/tender stage and upon award of the projects.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 15 years professional experience in Infrastructure design in a consultancy environment
- At least 3 years GCC experience with reputed international consulting firms
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other specialized techniques/tools/softwares related to Infrastructure design

Desirable:
- Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Familiarity with the codes and practices of State of Qatar
- LEED- AP/ QSAS- CGP
- Sufficient knowledge of LEED/QSAS requirements related to Infrastructure design
- Memberships of reputed relevant international professional organizations

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
