Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties of the Senior Infrastructure Engineer shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:

1. Review the Infrastructural drawings, reports, specification submitted by the DESIGN CONSULTANTs at each stage of the Design to ensure completeness, correctness, compliance with the scope of work and agreements requirements.
2. Carry out construct ability review during the Design and modification stages.
3. Review in a timely manner the DESIGN CONSULTANTs submittals and forward comments to the Engineering Manager.
4. Ensure the DESIGN CONSULTANT incorporates the comments raised from previous stages.
5. Attend Technical meetings with the DESIGN CONSULTANTs and other Sub- Consultants, Contractors and COMPANY Team.
6. Review Contractor / Consultants proposed design organizations and related CVs and report to Engineering Manager on his findings.
7. Review any alternative to the Design concept submitted by the DESIGN CONSULTANT, prepare and submit a report including recommendation to the Engineering Manager highlighting advantages and disadvantages of each alternative.
8. Review the materials proposed by the DESIGN CONSULTANT and propose alternatives to improve the quality, future maintenance, safety and cost effectiveness.
9. Participate in the pre-qualification of the construction contractors list.
10. Review and reply to bidders clarifications, participate in issuing bulletins and attending Technical Meetings with bidders during Tender stage.

Requirements

Qualifications:

B.Sc in Civil Engineering with minimum 15 years of international experience in Infrastructure work, 5 of which with Consulting /Management companies, experience in design and design review as well as site supervision.

Good experience in Infrastructure design review.
