Senior Interior Designer

Job description / Role

1.Designing & Space Planning as advised by the Head of Design.
2. Carryout and execute design assignments as required by the Sales Team in an efficient, effective and innovative manner.
3. Coordinate with the sales team & project department to best serve the client.
4. Sometimes direct coordination with the client for site verification as per Sales Team request.
5. Advise the sales team on proper designs.
6. Analyze tender & design documents and specifications and follow standard operating procedures
7. Make requests for Purchase of Material and Furniture.
8.Update and manage an electronic library of products.
9. Coordinate and support other designers.
10. Actively participate in meetings.
11. Implement policies and procedures as set by management.
12. Designs, layouts, space planning in accordance with approved design standards and customer requirements.
13. Meeting clients and understanding their requirements as & when required.
14. Developing furniture layouts and designs as per the client requirement considering aesthetics, function, budgets and design standards.
15. Developing layouts, presentation, shop drawings and other drawings (especially of custom made furniture) as needed.
16. Developing bills of materials and pricing.
17. Communication with the manufacturers and principals for any technical queries & pricing issues as necessary.
18. Taking site dimensions as required and when necessary to eliminate errors in design and layouts.
19. Responsible for operational functions relating to design.
20. Implement and constantly improve the QE standards and company procedures and policies.
21. Update management on progress

Requirements

- University Degree - Design/Architecture.
- With 5-8 years in furniture industry; CAD Designer, space planning, products specification & submittal of technical and commercial proposals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, hard working, adaptable,
- Ability to work under pressure; Team leader.
