Senior Internal Auditor

Job description / Role

As Senior Internal Auditor you are responsible for conducting or assisting team with internal audit projects, as part of the internal audit plan on new capital investments.

This responsibility includes determining internal audit scope, developing audit programs, performing internal audit procedures, and preparing internal audit reports reflecting the results of the work performed.

Predominately focus on financial and operational processes.

- Assessing risks and internal controls by identifying areas of non-compliance, evaluating manual and automated financial processes, identifying process weaknesses and inefficiencies
- Execute internal audit projects in accordance with defined budgets, timelines and resource requirements
- Actively participate in administrative activities, such as: goal setting, performance evaluations, management reporting, presentations to executive leadership and audit committee
- Assist management with periodic reporting to the audit committee, and developing the annual internal audit plan, and championing internal control
- Researching new or technical subjects when required to support audits
- Assist in the further development of the management function, including work paper templates and methodology

Requirements

- 5+ years minimum Internal Auditing Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CPA , ACA etc.) , ACCA , CIA
- Team management experience will be a BIG plus
- Knowledge of current risk and internal control concepts, including experience in applying them to plan, perform, manage and report on the evaluation of various business processes/areas/functions
- Exhibit the leadership skills needed to sell ideas and obtain management buy-in for constructive change
- Demonstrated use of internal auditing standards and risk assessment practices
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Mandatory UAE Experience handling large portfolios
