Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Works according to specialized administrative standards and established procedures. To a large degree, involves independent planning and work prioritization.

Seeking solutions in a unique environment which are innovative and specifically match Qatargas’ vision, adopting a flexible approach which meets the needs of individuals and is not constrained by a rigidly imposed framework. Use influencing skills to gain agreement from management and develop an implementation plan.
Works on many different job evaluation issues and tries to solve them in appropriate ways based on functional knowledge, precedent and international best practice.

Tasks and Duties:

a. Supervising, planning and participating in all job evaluation, related policy and procedure development activities. Plans the activities of the JE Section, setting short and long term objectives for job evaluation and related policy development activities.

b. Supervises the Company's job evaluation activities including acting as Secretary to the in-house job evaluation committee(s). Includes directing and carrying out as required all job analysis, job description and job evaluation activities aimed at ensuring the maintenance of internal and external job relativities. Controls the maintenance of the Company's job evaluation system, ensuring that ongoing training is provided to Company staff to maintain the level of internal expertise.

c. Supervises the C & B Assistant for typing of JDs and other evaluation related activities. Proofreads activities related to job evaluations and job descriptions.

d. Controls the use of external consultants used for job and task analysis, job description preparation, and related policy and procedure development.

e. Internal contacts to obtain information provide advice for job evaluation administration purposes at all levels up to Group and Department Manager level on a frequent basis and periodically with senior management to provide advice and seek approval in job evaluation matters. External contacts on a periodic basis with representatives of other local or regional companies to exchange information on job reviews and evaluation.

f. Responsible for the support of Company Safety, Environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to the job as spelled out in Management System documentation, policies, and procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.

g. It is the policy of Qatargas to pursue an active and effective training program for its Qatari employees and each expatriate is expected to participate fully in this effort. The Company is aware that training Qatari employees, whether in the classroom or on the job requires considerable time and effort on the part of expatriate staff. Acceptance of employment with the Company carries with it the understanding that each expatriate employed will participate fully in such training.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, HR Management or similar.

Should have Hay Job Analysis and Job Evaluation certification.

5 to 8 years' HR experience, including at least 3 to 4 years in job analysis, descriptions and evaluation.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Ability to maintain accuracy in work is an important requirement.
