Senior Landscape Architect Design Manager – Landscape Design Management of an Architecture studio for new parks, high rise buildings, public amenities as well as a large multi-faceted amusement park in Doha, Qatar

Randstad MENA is urgently sourcing a Senior Landscape Architect Design Manager – to execute designs and lead a Landscape Architecture Design studio for 2 projects, 1 for new parks, public amenities and 2 an amusement park in Doha, Qatar.

Duties:-

• Reporting to the Department Head of Landscape Architecture with responsibility for managing one of the Architecture design studios ensuring quality standards and constructability is achieved
• Coordinate the interface with all other internal engineering disciplines to facilitate a unified delivery of the project to the agreed programme schedule
• Directing and managing a team through day-to-day studio operations, including overseeing the production of high quality, international standard detailed design documents, project issues, outside consultants and sub-consultants.
• Responsible for internal design approvals and management of drawing submissions into the client`s approvals process
• To keep all relevant design standards in order to be utilized at all stages of the design works.
• To record and implement the client's requirements in all relevant design works.
• To be ready to respond quickly to urgent instructions for designing auxiliary projects in conjunction with the main project
• To interpret the information received from the site and implement them on integrated designs as per Client’s satisfaction
• To provide details needed by the client and services authorities.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of continuous experience in landscape architecture with international companies.
• Must have project managed a studio/team
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, with a post-graduate degree preferred from an internationally recognized degree program.
• Professional registration or licensure in native country and/or others that are internationally recognized certifications (i.e. CMLI, ASLA).
• International experience in the Middle East or Asia is required – minimum 2 years.
• Demonstrable track record leading a large Landscape department with a proven ability to plan, prioritize and motivate multiple teams, delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and time management skills, in order to successfully liaise with all other disciplines as well and interface and work closely with Clients in a professional manner to achieve project goals.
• Must have experience of landscape projects in extreme heat and arid conditions and have the specific skills required for successful design in these conditions.

Ideal candidate:-

• Western European is a Must – UK, Ireland, Scotland, Australian, Canadian, American
• CMLI or ASLA registered and qualified with current CPD and registration status
• Extreme heat / Arid air condition region landscape architecture experience

Those based in GCC and are preferred but not necessary.
