Employment: Full Time

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Advisor to be based in our Corporate Headquarters in Riyadh and help us develop a world class in-house legal function.

The individual selected to fill this role will be a key member of the legal team and will provide legal support for a wide range of corporate and commercial activities across Ma’aden’s operations, which will include advising in relation to Ma’aden existing and future joint venture agreements, project financing agreements, acquisitions and dispositions, construction and project development matters, dispute management, and corporate governance and compliance.

Requirements

You will be a seasoned professional with experience in the above areas gained from your career in addition to the following;

• Bachelor of Laws or equivalent from a recognized university.

• Advanced business degree [MBA, MBL] advantageous.

• 10 year experience delivering sophisticated high-value corporate and commercial legal results, preferably with a mix of international law firm experience (Magic Circle or equivalent) and large company in-house experience.

• 5+ years of mentoring, coaching and training more junior professionals.

• Significant related industry experience: mining/oil and gas/construction/engineering.

• Mega-project experience; preferably with in depth knowledge of modern procurement techniques and approaches.

• Experience managing multi-million dollar claims, international arbitrations and litigation.

• High level of fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic advantageous but not essential.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, team working and problem solving skills in multi-cultural environment.

About the Company

Ma'aden was formed as a Saudi joint stock company on 23 March 1997 (corresponding to 14/11/1417H) for the purpose of facilitating the development of Saudi Arabia's mineral resources.
