Job description / Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Counsel to join a renowned company based in Abu Dhabi, the role will involve providing legal and strategic advice and direction and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations associated with its business operations to minimise risk and facilitate efficient decision-making by the Executive Management team; To assist the General Counsel in the day-to-day management of the Legal & Compliance team.
Requirements
Law degree from an internationally reputable university
Minimum 6 years’ experience in a top-tier international law firm (preferably UK or US)
Experience in international cross-border transactions and projects
Minimum 6 years’ post qualification experience preferably in any of the following areas: General Corporate / Commercial, Projects / Project Finance, M&A, Commercial Property / Construction or Oil & Gas
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Research skills
Communication skills (Fluent English essential; Arabic desirable)
Ability to liaise effectively, and coordinate with, internal project teams and vendors and service providers (at the international and local level)
Planning, organising and time management
