Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with a major energy corporation based in Abu Dhabi. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel to join their growing legal division.
As part of this role, you will assist the strategic and business planning activities within the business ensuring the division complies with all relevant requirements. You will provide extensive advice and support to the General Counsel on best practice, legal processes and systems including compliance and governance to maximize functional effectiveness of the legal unit. You will be the primary point of contact on employment law, compliance and governance matters.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a bachelors Degree in law (Juris Doctorate or equivalent) from a reputed law school.
You should have at least 5 years legal experience in a leading international law firm or in house legal team of a major international corporation.
Additionally, you should have knowledge of the UAE legal framework and experience dealing with major international transactions.
It is essential you have excellent English and Arabic communication skills.
