Job description / Role

We are assisting our international client, who is based in Dubai, with an urgent legal hire.
The main responsibilities for this role will be:
- Providing commercial legal advice focused on trading and operational activity, to include contract drafting and negotiation, supporting businesses in MEA territories. Regulatory advice and assistance within the MEA region with guidance from the Chief Legal Officer.
- Assisting Chief Legal Officer with project work including financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions and other business development transactions.
- Contract negotiation and advice including IT, storage, lease, etc - File management and liaising with local counsel in each jurisdiction in MEA
- Assist to meet the legal needs of regional offices, often in co-ordination with other teams (tax, risk, insurance, operations).
- Research and evaluate local laws in co-ordination with local counsel.
Requirements
- 7+ years experiences in FMCG/General Corporate/Commercial/Banking obtained in an international firm or in-house position.
- Experience in leading on matters and managing legal files independently.
- Region experience preferred.
- Fluent written and spoken English is a must, French and Arabic preferred.
- Ability to manage matters independently.
- Highly organized and hard working individual yet flexible and able to multi-task
- European jurisdictional qualification required.
