The Role


The Role

Key tasks and duties:

1. Manage overall function of the Asset Management Division.

2. Ensure compliance with market rules and regulations.

3. Set goals and objectives to meet bank’s business plan.

4. Set investment policy, undertake securities selection, other investment opportunities such as derivatives, commodities and other investment instruments, and structure portfolio to achieve the clients’ objective in terms of risk return criteria.

5. Manage Bank’s proprietary investment portfolio including asset allocation, securities selection, portfolio construction, portfolio review and reporting. Develop investment proposals within the limits of strategy and policy parameters set out in the Investment Manual, attend and make presentations at ALCO meetings.

6. Supervise the management of the investment portfolio of clients and mutual funds on behalf of the bank.

7. Establish, promote and manage mutual funds.

8. Assist clients in defining the risk/ return objectives, suggest to clients the portfolio structure that would suit the client’s investment objectives

9. Constant evaluation of the portfolio performance against portfolio objective / benchmark and carry out suitable asset reallocation advice for clients.

10. Carry out presentation on Asset Management business.

11. Review and recommend third-party investment products like structured products, mutual funds marketed by the bank.

12. Coordinating with the Investment Management and Marketing team in marketing asset management business

Requirements


Requirements

The candidate should have MBA or Masters in finance

CFA and Chartered Accountant certification preferable.

The incumbent should have a minimum of “ 5 years” experience as an Asset Manager with any reputable Investment houses or mutual funds.(preferable if he has an experience with firms based in Middle East).

Age 30-40 years old

Fluent in English (both written and spoken
