Job description / Role
Purpose:
The job purpose is mainly to provide support to the Syndication & FI business which includes operation related activities, facility renewals, credit analysis, monitoring and efficiently manage the existing portfolio for Syndications and FI.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• To provide support to Syndication & FI business which mainly includes operations related activities, facility renewals, credit analysis and monitoring.
• Liaise with internal as well as external customer such as legal counsel, customer, etc to ensure smooth financial closure, including handling and reviewing documentation and credit related queries.
• Assist in execution of new transactions related to Syndication and FI and also should be able to undertake Agency related roles.
• Should be able to manage and monitor the existing syndicated loan portfolio, independently.
• Contribute to the overall Syndications & Financial Institution strategy and business plans and further initiates, co-ordinates and implements the business plan and monitors progress towards its achievement.
• Stay informed of the latest news regarding syndicated loan markets as well as countries.
• Identify and disseminates information and alerts management to trends and risks and to opportunities to maximize earnings.
• Identify opportunities for revenue generation.
• Maintain the business portfolio risk profile within agreed parameters at all times, including effective phasing out of the Exit Accounts and monitoring / reporting of irregularities and customer KYC, AML etc.
• Credit Risk Assessment by means of financial and other analyses.
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities that are consistent with the role as assigned by management.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Education:
• Bachelors or Masters Degree, preferably an MBA or CA.
Professional / Technical Qualifications / Diplomas:
• None
Experience:
• At least 8-10 years total investment/corporate banking experience with 5 years in a GCC bank.
Other Skills Required for the Job:
• Strong PC skills
• Analytical ability
• Experience with banking regulations regarding credit facilities
• Communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• High proficiency in business writing
• An in-depth knowledge of Trade Finance, Treasury and other cross functional products.
• Strong marketing skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information.
• A good understanding of the general, economic, political and business environment of the region.
