Our client, a globally recognized company is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Manager Finance (Cost/Manufacturing). You will be reporting to the Global Supply Chain and Group CFO.

This position provides both operational and programmatic support to the organization in building cost management function across the globe. You will build and supervises the costing and COGS in each business unit. Lead and assist all strategic and tactical matters relating to costing, COGS, material managements relating to cost up to the goods are despatched. Assist management to clearly understand the variances in budgeted cost and actual cost with clear cut assignable reasons as to why the business units have variance in product cost VS what was envisaged.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to manufacturing financial management, budget, and accounting.
- Plan, organize and direct all activities related to the cost accounting functions in subsidiaries.
- Working with manufacturing operations to develop and maintain standard costs in association with BOM's.
- Analyse actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic report comparing standard costs to actual costs.
- Have practical in depth knowledge and able to build the inventory and cost accounting methodology in order to better align processes (ie: standard costing) to bring better consistency.
- Work on bringing common COGS methodology across the business units
- Develop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers in COGS (ie: Direct material). Analysis of changes in raw materials, manufacturing methods to determine effects on costs.
- Responsible for overseeing monthly inventory and COGS analysis for reasonableness and accuracy with the ability to investigate and explain any issues to senior management.
- Define and update existing policies and procedures for all cost accounting and inventory activities.
- Coordinate and lead the IT team on building and resolving cost accounting/cogs related system issues
- Responsible for month-end close in cost accounting areas including review of related account reconciliations.
- Ability to interface with external or internal auditors and lead/assist in external audit reviews in cast accounting related aspects including Inventory valuations.
- Take ownership in accounting or management related cost accounting projects as necessary.
- Supervise cost accounting team, including directing work, providing training, mentoring and development of their cost accounting understanding.
- Involved in Excess & Obsolescence, Cost Roll, Royalties in addition to day to day cost accounting responsibilities

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting as a minimum, MBA or certified costing accountancy qualification is highly desired
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing industry in a large reputable multinational company
- Must have worked in multinational companies in multi-product manufacturing sector experience in costing areas
- Strong Experience in SAP and other cost accounting and inventory software Products (Excel, Word, PPT)
- Significant cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment with understanding of business management software systems, thorough understanding of GAAP and cost accounting standards and experience applying accounting principles, theories and concepts to financial transactions related to manufacturing processes.
- Experienced in interacting with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, production, shipping and other functional areas of a manufacturing business.
- Able to motivate and lead by example thus showing the ability to organize, support and clearly communicate with accounting and non-accounting professionals.
