Senior Manager - Indirect Spend Category Sourcing

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Support the Marketing and Indirect Spend Sourcing Director in the development of the Indirect Spend categories'sourcing strategies
- Lead and conduct the internal category profiling (i.e. building category profiles, conducting spend analysis, demand/ usage analysis, TCO analysis, etc.) to identify potential levers to lower total cost
- Lead and conduct the supply market analysis to analyse market trends, evaluate suppliers' capabilities, assess potential areas of risk and identify new feasible supplier.
- Develop supplier lists, prepare tender documents, follow up on submissions, evaluate submissions, etc. in order to support the overall category tendering process
- Participate in the tendering, negotiation and selection of suppliers on behalf of Group OpCos, leveraging the consolidated buying power of the Group.
- Lead the development and implementation of Group Sourcing Contracts (GSCs).
- Support the Marketing and Indirect Spend Sourcing Director in defining supplier KPIs, scorecard, data sources and collection methods on supplier performance
- Support the Sourcing Performance team in the collection of supplier performance data from Group OpCos and suppliers
- Manage the day-to-day relationships with the suppliers of the Indirect Spend Categories and build strong relationships with them to drive improved service delivery.
- Lead the development of the Indirect Spend category performance reports
- Collect, consolidate and validate reports from Operating Companies on their Indirect Spend category sourcing performance
- Promote compliance across Ooredoo Group on GSCs and Group policies, processes and procedures.
- Supervise more junior Group Sourcing Buyers on the category sourcing activities, provide guidance and support, monitor and prioritise workload

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years relevant procurement or category management experience, of which 5 years should preferably be in telecommunications
- Experience of managing and negotiating with suppliers and supporting the implementation of sourcing initiatives
- Experience in MENA preferred
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
- Minimum bachelor degree qualification, preferably should be in business/ Marketing/ Technology disciplines. Preferably certified by a relevant professional body (e.g., CIPS, CPM) or qualified with a relevant Master's degree (e.g., Supply Management)

- Advanced category expertise relevant to telecommunications and the categories in scope of responsibility
- Basic sourcing and supplier management skills with the ability to conduct supplier meetings
- Advanced relevant computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems, e-procurement systems, including Ariba and Emptoris)
