Senior Manager – Rewards (based in Jeddah)

The Company

One of the leading groups in KSA with operations covering consumer, retail and associated industries is now looking for a key individual to define their Reward and C&B strategy.

The Role

Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of compensation benefits and performance management professionals to ensure that the organization’s reward and performance management strategies are implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the organisation complies with all the relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.
Lead and direct the development and implementation of the organization’s performance management policies and procedures which ensure that the organization is able to attract, retain and motivate the associates with the appropriate skills and experiences so that the organization is able to achieve its business objective.
Lead and direct the development and implementation of the organization’s compensation and benefit programmes and activities which will meet the organization’s objectives with regards to internal equity and external market competitiveness.
Liaise with functional or operational area managers to develop and implement local compensation and performance management strategies that are appropriate for their business needs but consistent with the organisation’s overall reward and performance management strategy.
Lead in building and sustaining high levels of engagement in the team by setting clear standards of performance, motivating them, monitoring performance, giving specific constructive feedback regularly for developmental purposes and aligning the team to organizational goals.
Consults with the Business heads and Managers to record changes in duties, roles and responsibilities and to effect the amendments on the Job Descriptions of the associates’ in-line with the requirement of the business.
Select and manage ongoing relationship with external consultants and suppliers to ensure the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.
Conduct Performance discussion with the subordinates, whenever applicable, through open discussion to establish Associate’s development and Performance Awareness.
Develop the team through coaching and feedbacks to achieve teamwork and department’s goals and objectives.
Select and manage ongoing relationship with external consultants and suppliers to ensure the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.

Develop the team through coaching and feedbacks to achieve teamwork and department’s goals and objectives Review and analyze the effectiveness of the employee remuneration packaging and compensation by monitoring the performance management processes are adhered by the respective businesses in the organization.
Review and analyzes the Associates’ Incentives Plans in use by the different business units to evaluate if altering provisions would improve the incentive and morale of the associates.
Direct the conduct of salary benchmarks and employee benefits benchmarking internally and externally annually to conduct job evaluation and classification whenever required.
Analyze and evaluate external market data as well as internal data about the organization’s current employee population and future human resource needs in order to develop salary budgets and forecasts that are consistent with the organization’s reward strategy.
Mentor and develop associates and ensure they are provided opportunities for development and that career paths and succession plans are charted out through a Succession/ Progression Development Interventions.

Requirements

The Person

Ideally you will have at least 10 years reward or C&B experience preferably in the GCC. We are not looking for a technical person but someone who is practical and can look at process and procedures and establish best practice. You will be either in a customer focused organisation or within a well known consultancy and have proven experience of developing change. A western education coupled with fluency in English is essential.
