Senior Manager – Strategy – Banking
FUNCTIONAL TITLE: Senior Manager Strategy
REPORTING TO: Head of Business Strategy
DEPARTMENT: Strategy and Planning
This role is to provide support and guidance to all business units on the implementation of strategy. Will also be responsible for corporate planning and performance monitoring to ensure strategic alignment and progress.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mapping of short term goals and long term goals for the business and functional areas
New business initiatives business analysis, strategy design, and implementation
Balanced scorecard at the bank and business / functional level - monitoring and guidance
To assist in business performance reviews and analysis on achieving overall goals
Deep involvement in annual business planning process to aid cross organisational alignment and strategic coherence
Conduct Strategic Business analysis to monitor achievement of long term goals
Identify key strategic gaps and drive business lines to develop strategies to fill gaps identified
To embed strategic monitoring and control processes into the organisation
Internal All business and functional heads
External external consultants and advisors
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Enhance corporate strategic tracking mechanisms (e.g. balanced scorecard and dashboard processes)
Identify methods to increase process improvement - specific shot-term strategic goals
Specifically align efforts across the organisation to make "Customer Driven"
monitoring of 2012 balanced scorecards for the business and functional areas
Create the 2013 Scorecard for each business and support unit
Identify and implement processes to ensure strategic coherence of activity across the organisation
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION | WORK EXPERIENCE | COMPETENCIES| SKILLS
Masters degree in finance / management or MBA
At least 5 years relevant experience
Comparable role in another financial organisation or consultancy experience in strategy or large scale programme and project management
