Job description / Role
The Role:
You will ensures the streamlined operation of the Core Technology Systems department by planning, coordinating, directing and designing IT related activities, as well as providing assistance to the Support and Operations teams in the eGroup department. You will also work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organisation as well as define and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices as it relates to core technology platforms.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* A university degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems (Master's degree preferred)
* Certification in ITIL, with certification in TOGAF desirable, and at least two mainstream platforms including Microsoft technologies, network and switching, security, Unix/Linux technologies, voice/telephony technologies
* Minimum 7 years' relevant work experience
* Strong technical knowledge of several systems especially in a highly heterogeneous environment
* Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
* Strong knowledge of systems design principles, requirements specifications, standards development and practices
* Good working knowledge of ITIL, especially Systems Management practices, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 best practices and standards and how they are applied to IT.
