The RoleThe RoleThe role reports to Head of InformatioN and Physical Security. The key responsibility of the role is to ensure that all systems (including Application/ OS/ Database/ Networks/ Infrastructure) and related processes in ADCB are protected against all known current and future vulnerabilities. Responsibilities: •Advise, and recommend security features for IT hardware architecture and infrastructure requirements for various information systems •Determine appropriate levels of security controls for all IT systems and infrastructure. •Provide technical advice on security to those who install, administer, and update computer-based access control systems •Participate as a technical security advisor for a variety of IT projects that will be dictated by current business and technological developments •Redesign and reengineer internal information handling processes so that information is appropriately protected from a wide variety of problems including unauthorized disclosures, unauthorized use, inappropriate modification, premature deletion and unavailability. •Perform penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities. •Monitor trends in external threats such as phishing and ensure bank is protected. •Provide technical guidance to IT Department staff about risks and control measures associated with new and emerging information systems technologies. •Evaluate information systems bug reports, security exploit reports, and other information security notices issued by information systems vendors, CERT and makes recommendation to IT Department technical staff to take precautionary measures. •Design, develop and implement Technical IT security framework. •Develop strategy to mitigate channel security threats. •Provide technical framework and architecture for the setup and secure deployment of systems that support information security including virus detection systems, firewall content filtering system, IDS, FWs etc •Provide inputs/feedbacks to Technology Security teams for updating/creating security baseline documents for systems such as firewalls, various operating systems, databases, etc. •Analyse the information security trends and make appropriate recommendations to IT department for new security initiatives •Support with improvement of the security posture of ADCB by evaluating and recommending technical controls needed to protect ADCB information |
RequirementsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, e.g. diploma (mandatory). •Certified Information Systems Security Professional ( CISSP) •10-12 years of experience in a Banking industry or similar environment, e.g. a demanding service industry where employees are able to work under pressure. •Thorough knowledge of firewalls, network components such as router/switches and related protocols, intrusion prevention systems, antivirus software, web content filtering, database products; the incumbent should also have a sound understanding of the vulnerabilities in operating systems, databases and major applications and must possess the technical knowledge necessary to mitigate these vulnerabilities. •Strong awareness of application security requirements and techniques. •Extensive experience in enterprise security architecture design. •Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols. •Knowledge and ability to apply Risk Management techniques to security policy enforcement and compliance. •Strong influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills. •Strong planning, analytical and time management skills |
