The RoleThe RoleDevelops and executes medium and long term planning for VAS Services in line with strategic requirements. These include VAS design, deployment & interoperability etc, under Network Department. Participate in deciding on the VAS technology road map Participate in tender/technology evaluation. Plan and implement convergence of mobile & fixed VAS Assess the impact and potential of new VAS technologies Evaluate proposed changes to the VAS infrastructure and make recommendations. Manage a team of specialists and engineers to design and upgrade VAS infrastructure. Prepare budget forecast for CAPEX and OPEX requirements. Coordinate and facilitate project approval, RFQ, Vendor selection and product management up until the commercial launch of services Coordinate with network operations, project management & network development teams. Evaluate and recommend suitable integration to BB technologies suitable for different segments of the society Establish forecast procedures from concerned departments and estimate traffic demand for future mobile & fixed services.Translate medium and long term architecture plans into yearly design objectives |
RequirementsRequirements Bachelor's Degree in Telecoms Engineering or equivalent. 15 years experience in telecoms engineering with significant skills in project management and co-ordination. Excellent knowledge of VAS/IN deployment & product management with specific focus on mobile VAS& charging systems. Experience in evaluating and implementing new technologies. Business knowledge particularly cash flows & financial justifications. Experience in vendor management, vendor selection and negotiation. More than 10 years experience in VAS/IN service offerings or related field in telecom service provider organizations. |
