Senior Manager / Vendor Management

Job description / Role

Principal Functions:
- Involve in establishing strong vendor relationships, managing vendor contracts and performance to ensure that vendor meets or exceeds their contractual obligations by delivering quality products and services on time and thereby delivering optimal value for the business.
- Act as a single point of contact/escalation point for supplier issues within Etisalat and facilitate the timely, efficient and effective resolution of escalated vendor-related issues.
- Support the management to develop a strategy to grow Etisalats existing relationship with strategic vendors.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Vendor Performance Management
a) Manage strategic vendor relationships within Etisalat and establish appropriate vendor governance.
b) Develop and maintain appropriate material to assess vendor performance management such as metrics and scorecards to drive desired vendor behavior/required outcomes. Review vendor score carding and monitoring of stakeholder satisfaction.
c) Monitor the established KPIs for vendor performance and report the performance and service improvement results to the management on a periodic basis.
d) Ensure compliance with Etisalats Vendor Operating Model (including use of Common KPIs) and review the relevant modifications (if any) to meet the specific needs of Etisalat.

* Plan, evaluate strategies for Vendor Management
a) Conduct periodic risk evaluation of strategic vendors and participate in the development of risk mitigation plans in liaison with various stakeholders of the Corporation.
b) Act as a single point of contact/escalation point for all vendor related issues within Etisalat and facilitate its timely, efficient and effective resolution.
c) Drive continuous improvement initiatives by focusing on improved services and identifying potential cost saving opportunities.
d) Support the management to develop a strategy to grow Etisalats existing relationship with strategic vendors.
e) Where appropriate, participate in the annual planning cycle and be the interface to vendors.

* Review, Analyze, Recommend and Resolve Issues
a) For major and critical contracts, conduct regular contract reviews to ensure that the full contractual and technical obligations are being delivered by the vendor and ensure contractual compliance by all the concerned stakeholders and the vendor.
b) Participate throughout the sourcing lifecycle, from RFX to Contract for major and critical contracts.
c) Represent Etisalat in negotiation of scope changes to major contracts.
d) Analyze escalated issues related to contractual, performance and financial obligations and execute appropriate action plan to ensure disputes (between Contractor/End-user/Contracts/Legal) are resolved amicably in a timely and efficient manner.
e) Recommend/ comment on all request for Change orders, Claims and Delay Penalty waiver

* Supervise and support Operational activities Monitor the Vendor Management Team is maintaining proper records of the documents required under contract, e.g. Performance bond with value and Validity, Advance Payment Guarantee (with value and validity), Insurance Policies, Non-Disclosure Agreement, Letter of Support, etc.
* Supervise and monitor on the Issuance of Contractual milestone certificates (RFS,PAC,FAC, Completion Certificate , Acceptance Certificate)
Manage and mentor Vendor Management team members.

Requirements

- Degree in Audit & Accountancy / Commerce / Law or Equivalent
- Preferred - CA/CIA / CIMA / ICWA / MBA, etc.
- 5-7 years experience in the field of Tenders & Contracts Management.
