The RoleThe RoleGreat opportunity for a Senior Commercially minded Financial Controller/Business Partner to join a market leader within Telecommunication industry! You will be a Business Partner, reporting to the Group CFO and responsible for annual planning and forecasting activities to support the top management in strategic business decision-making. Main responsibilities will include: Planning and Budgeting •Develop budgeting policies and procedures, and budget calendar and communicate requirements across the company •Manage preparation and approval of the annual budgets of the Group, driving consistency and rigor in the overall financial budgeting process of each business unit in alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the company •Support capital allocation and investment decisions through the development of detailed financial projections and sensitivity analyses •Oversee preparation and distribution of regular financial analysis and reporting on budget variances, helping identify key issues and potential corrective action Management Reporting •Lead Management Reporting processes by reviewing management reports, monitoring progress against budget and carrying out monthly/quarterly reviews of the company informing the Group Controller of the progress •Oversee the account consolidation process from all BUs, including budget roll-ups at each stage and the final corporate consolidation and roll-up •Drive rigorous analysis of Group-wide financial performance, and provide relevant reports and recommendations to Group Controller, CFO as well as to the relevant Department Heads •Oversee the accounting and reporting for joint ventures at the corporate and provide assistance to the Finance function at the BU’s in managing the Joint Venture financial reporting •Develop the required Board presentations for the annual budgets and forecasts Financial Systems •Drive effective coordination with the IT Department to ensure the integrity, completeness and accuracy of financial data provided for reporting purposes •Liaise with IT department to identify needs for reporting and configuration, installation and enhancement of systems to ensure that the functionality of the system is in line with the needs of the company |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be considered for the role you must have/be: •Western Educated, Qualified Accountant •Substantial experience in a Senior Manager – Planning/Budgeting/Control capacity in a large Telecom Operator or similar service industry •Strong commercial acumen with ability to think outside the box, contribute on decision making level and become a business partner •Strong analytical/decision making skills •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills |
