Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Senior Marine Construction Engineer - Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Purpose:
Senior Marine Construction Engineer is responsible for daily monitoring of the Contractor's works, his planning, safety, quality control program and his execution of the contract requirements. Reports to the Construction Team Leader.
The project comprises dredging, reclamation, shore protection, harbor and jetty works, pontoons, heliports, gatch access roads and fences. Some of the existing offshore clusters are to be extended with additional reclamation to provide more space for rig maneuvers, drilling and oil production facilities.
The reclamation will also provide space for 6No new heliports that are to be constructed for medical emergency evacuation. New jetties are to be constructed on Rafiq Island and Abu Al Abyad Island and a navigation channel is to be dredged between the two locations. This will allow access for landing craft to transport drilling rigs, equipment and supplies between the two islands.
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
You shall be responsible for daily monitoring of the Contractor's works, his planning, safety, quality control program and his execution of the contract requirements. He shall carry out inspections to all works. He shall ensure that all construction activities as per contract drawings and specifications and shall comply with the quality assurance / control and safety requirements.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent. 12 - 15 years' experience, with 10 years minimum experience in oil/gas Marine Infrastructure.
- Gulf experience is preferable.
