The RoleThe RoleAl-Futtaim Group Real Estate (AFGRE) is the real estate development and operations arm of Al-Futtaim group which is headquartered in Dubai. AFGRE is responsible for the origination, conception, development, procurement and construction of mega projects and the leasing, sales and operation of these projects after completion. In addition, AFGRE develops and operates an extensive multi-million dollar portfolio of individual corporate real estate and investment assets across the MENA region. The two current flagship mixed use urban communities under the Festival City brand are the award winning, Dubai Festival City (5.2 million square metres) and Cairo Festival City (3 million square metres). About Dubai Festival City Dubai Festival City is an Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate development project which covers 5.2 million sq m and stretches 3 kilometres along the historic Dubai Creek that optimises the thriving and visionary spirit of Dubai. Dubai Festival City is an established creek side, mixed use destination and premier waterfront community interconnecting finest residential, shopping, dining, leisure & entertainment, international hotels, schools, golf course, automotive park and offices. It is formed into three distinct districts and connected by a 30 kilometres internal road network and creek side promenade. This existing community offers freehold villas and apartments for sale and lease which combine traditional and contemporary architecture. The award winning Festival Centre has recently added the Five Star award Best Retail Development at the Arabian Property Awards 2010, and two other prestigious Retail City awards - Mall of the Year and Best Retail Destination of the Year.We are currently recruiting for a Portfolio Marketing Manager, to be based in our Dubai operation. The key purpose of this role is to to support the definition and development of the FC (Festival City) umbrella brand and DHFC (Doha Festival City). Initially, to drive destination advertising for DFC (Dubai Festival City) taking into account all of its components (SPVs) and supporting their communication needs. To promote awareness of the DHFC brand across the GCC, supporting the leasing team in procuring tenants, and taking the mall to launch. You will create and execute the DHFC marketing strategy (B2B and B2C) and planned marketing activities through advertisements, PR, campaigns, and events which effectively reach the target audience, and firmly establish the brand within the market. Working together with Al-Futtaim group brands to strengthen the message and ensure timely and effective marketing strategies that are within brand and budget according to the groups business objectives, relating to profitability and growth. Additional to this you will: * Support in the development of the Festival City and Doha Festival City brands * Promote DFC as a destination as a whole to raise awareness and reposition the project * Marketing strategy planning and budgets / Media & Advertising plans - set yearly strategies and plans for the SPVs responsible for and in relation to the teams within DFC (IHG / Mall marketing and group brands) and CFC * Communication - communicate with the other SPVs located on the property along with group brands (and not limited to) as well as residential and retail tenants and visitors to DFC * Market Research & Intelligence - ensure that competitor research on like properties in Qatar and potentially UAE and GCC is accounted for, together with general retail news that could impact on DHFC brand (leasing / retail / development / RERA / government regulations updates etc). * Market research to determine requirements for new business * Website / Online Digital Activation - Ensure at all times that the DHFC website is up to date, takes into account new technologies & trends and builds the strategy * Public Relations - working together with the PR Manager to promote and create newsworthy items to increase the AVE and awareness of DFC within the media * Measurement - ensure all marketing activities are trackable and measured to review ROI * Cross Promotions - working with group brands to further ROI, reach and effectiveness of spend and not limited to group brands, but also to identify tenants or external companies |
RequirementsRequirementsThis is a new and unique opportunity for an experienced and creative Marketing Manager, with a proven track record in the region. The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience - * Bachelor Degree in Marketing / Business or related field * Digital and online activation awareness * Minimum of 7-10 years in a marketing or business related discipline in retail marketing * Minimum of 2 years in the GCC region * Proven experience in customer and market research * Experience working with external agencies, events, PR and advertising * Fluent Arabic and English languages * Asia / European marketing experience is preferred but not essential |
