Senior Materials Manager

Job description / Role

Leading International Contractor forming part of the Riyadh Metro JV in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is looking to appoint a Senior Materials Manager.

This project is a highly complex civil engineering project consisting of underground & overground structures . The employer wants a expert in Materials to be site based reporting into the Project Director & the Head of Materials for the GCC.

You will be seen as the go to person that can solve problems , manage a team , coordinate sub contractors and deliver from your business unit on site.

You will have extensive experience on concrete mix design , production methods , testing of batching plant & pre cast, management of a large team & extensive laboratory experience.

As this project is a complex rail job the ideal candidate with have experience of managing elevated structures such as viaducts , bridges , bypasses and metro lines. Below the ground experience in experience concrete pours , sub structures & Tunneling methods are needed.

Requirements

You will either have a degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical from a Western University. You will have experience of managing 1 Mega Project such as an Airport , Metro or Stadium or you will of had a Regional Role where you were responsible for multiple projects.

As this role is to be employed by a Contractor they want to see someone that either worked for a specific Concrete Supplier or a Main Contractor in such a role.

Due to the location this business is looking to recruit someone on a single status with a rotation to be discussed with the management.

This individual will have superb communication skills and have the ability to motivate, manage and deliver on site . You will have a track record that shows a minimum of 2 Major Projects in such a role as either Materials Manager or Senior Materials Engineer.

You will have 15-20 Years experience post grad making you around 38- 40 Years of Age upwards from what the client is seeking.

They have a core experience of delivering Civil Engineering projects ranging from 100 to 1 Billion Sterling.
