We are urgently recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Applying technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as UK, US, Australia and Hong Kong Mechanical Design Codes
* Providing technical review of drawings, specifications, reports and other project documentation as required in line with company and client requirements ensuring compliance to international standards and codes of practice
* Liaising with the Project Managers and Design Managers to keep informed of all developments or changes associated with the project
* Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems and components
* Understanding the Client requirements and the technical accuracy of the project
* Presenting design options and design decisions
* Delivering technically complete design information reports and checks
* Delivering design documentation, summary reports and technical reports for Project Managers
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
* 10 years minimum relevant post-graduate experience
* To have attained or be working towards Chartered Engineer status or equivalent
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally
* Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegating skills
* Experience in managing and delivering design solutions
* Knowledge and experience in the application of international design standards: UK, US, UAE, Australia and Hong Kong
* Highly proficient and certified software users of any of the following value engineering design software: IES, HEVACOMP, TRACE, SKETCHUP, CAPS, PIPEFLO, AUTOCAD MEP, REVIT
