Job description / Role
Performs conventional and moderately-complex engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses within a discipline. The Engineer at this level is proficient in the utilization of standard engineering theories and practices. Some assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering)/CAD (computer aided design) applications.
Responsible to ensure the correct implementation of the project quality plan and quality procedures and productivity related to all mechanical works in accordance with program of work on construction site. Performs complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
Coordinates with all other related technical sections and departments Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments. Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides technical guidance to lower-level Engineers working on the same project. To be fully aware of the project mechanical specifications, drawings and design criteria.
Dealing success-oriented with appropriated authorities like Kahramaa and Ashgal. Strong understanding of all related codes ( e.g. NFPA, Ashrae, BS ).
Assist the MEP Manager in administrative, contractual and financial matters.
Complete reports and other project administration. Monitoring of design approach and design progress. Detection and handling of challenges in mechanical design process regarding compliance, completeness, impact on time schedule etc.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University
- 8 years of related work experience, GCC experience is a must
- Strong knowledge and experience with design of large scale mechanical systems and infrastructure
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Reporting, presentation and administration skills
- Experience in waterline projects, pump station projects, Waste Water Projects,
- Experience in the construction of infrastructural projects is highly preferred
