Job description / Role
We require a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Hospital core team on one of our large-scale, very prestigious medical projects.
Requirements
Prior experience in the Gulf Region is preferred advantageous.
Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Registration of a recognized Professional Engineering Board such as PE (Professional Engineer) or C.Eng (Chartered Engineer) is highly desirable.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
- 15 years + as Mechanical Representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of all mechanical works on site.
- 3 years + as Senior Mechanical Engineer on large-scale hospital projects.
- Witnessing testing and commissioning of the mechanical works. Assisting with the final inspection of the work and to monitoring completion of the work.
- Reviewing contractors mechanical change order proposals and prepare any appropriate recommendations to Resident Engineer for review.
- Capability to review design documents, provide technical guidance and support where required, assisting and contributing to relevant stakeholders, consultants, project managers, clients and contractors.
- Reviewing contractors mechanical/technical submittals, shop drawings, value engineering proposals, RFIs and coordination issues.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain successful client relationships.
